about teen eats plants:
teen eats plants is an internationally inspired vegan recipe blog. started in may 2015, my philosophy is that every culture has wonderful food to offer.
each country around the world has such a beautiful cuisine. the aim of teen eats plants is to make delicious global flavors accessible to vegans and meat-eaters alike. many of the recipes on here are adapted directly from local recipes and cookbooks.
why vegan? meat takes so many resources out of the environment. we should grow food for ourselves, not for our food. plus, veganism is so quickly evolving; it’s actually a livable lifestyle in many parts of the world. veganism is the lifestyle of the future, and I am so privileged to be a part of creating more resources for vegans.
hi, I’m shay and I run teen eats plants. I’m 15 years old and from the east coast of the usa.
I started teen eats plants for a couple reasons:
- one: I love cooking. I have been cooking and baking for as long as I can remember. my favorite foods to prepare are tofu and desserts, so expect to see lots of those on here!
- two: I love learning about culture and language. in the future, I look forward to traveling the world. currently, I am learning spanish, italian, and portuguese. teen eats plants lets me learn about the world in the most delicious way: through cuisine.
besides cooking and language, I love participating in model un, model congress, and girl up at school. I also play volleyball to stay in shape.
I hope you find some great ideas on here! if you need to contact me with suggestions, feedback, or for any other reason, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
